Is there a correlation between a man’s handshake and “something”? That was a question posed by a friend of mine. Now it might not mean anything, but some women believe the strength of a man’s handshake is a good indicator of his sexual prowess. I thought this was a silly connection to make. But it got me thinking of varying times I’ve exchanged handshakes with my fellow male colleagues. Makes me wonder.

Unfortunately, I’ve never (oddly enough) shook hands with any of the guys I’ve dated. Therefore, I can’t justify any such assumptions. But its definitely an interesting experiment to attempt. Mwuahaha….

I’ve got this 80s song in my head by The Vapors – Turning Japanese. But the lyrics make no sense whatsoever and its driving me absolutely bonkers. See for yourself:

“I’ve got your picture

Of me and you

You wrote “I love you”

I love you too

I sit there staring and there’s nothing else to do

Oh it’s in color

Your hair is brown

Your eyes are hazel

And soft as clouds

I often kiss you when there’s no one else around

I’ve got your picture, I’ve got your picture

I’d like a million of you over myself

I asked the doctor to take your picture

So I can look at you from inside as well

You’ve got me turning up and turning down and turning in and turning ’round

I’m turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

I’m turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

I’ve got your picture, I’ve got your picture

I’d like a million of them over myself

I want the doctor to take your picture

So I can look at you from inside as well

You’ve got me turning up and turning down and turning in and turning ’round

I’m turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

I’m turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

No sex, no drugs, no wine, no women

No fun, no sin, no you, no wonder it’s dark

Everyone around me is a total stranger

Everyone avoids me like a cyclone ranger

Everyone

That’s why I’m turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

I’m turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so

(think so think so think so)

Turning Japanese I think I’m turning Japanese I really think so”

So not only does it NOT make sense, its horriblely un-PC. But it was the 80s and back then people weren’t as anal about those types of things.
