Korean BBQ

I’ve been a bit of an asian cook-aholic lately. I’ve made Korean BBQ — Kalbi or Galbi — twice in one week. Mmmm marinated short ribs. The recipe itself is pretty simple because the actual prep time is almost nothing. The results of such a delicious feast — priceless.

2-3 lbs short rib of beef
3/4 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
3 inches piece fresh ginger, sliced (optional)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
diced green onions

1) Combine all the ingredients and marinate for a minimum of 2-4 hours. Overnight for best results.
2) Grill, broil, barbeque, or pan fry; basting frequently.
** Adjust amount for proper coverage of ribs.
