Oh, bloody hell!

I’ve been somewhat of a vampire lately. Everyday, I feast. I feast on bloody goodness that seem to delight not only the visual senses, but also tantalize the palate. I’m referring to blood oranges. I find them to be the perfect balance — between both sweet and citrusy tartness.

These oranges were bought at Boston’s famous Haymarket. I’ve started to become a regular client. Persuading myself to refrain from any vegetable/fruit purchases (at local supermarkets) for my weekly trip to the Haymarket. Not only is the produce fresh but also quite cheap — $1 for 4 blood oranges, $1 for 2lbs of green beans, $1 for 2 bunches of asparagus, $1 for 10 navel oranges — the list can go on and on.
